How to support autistic children in museums and public attractions

This hour-long talk specifically covers issues facing families with autistic children and their needs when visiting a museum or other attraction. It also includes ways to support neurodivergent volunteers and coworkers.

This session can be delivered in person (within 20 miles of Bristol) or virtually.

It includes:
  • What is autism?
  • What might families with autistic children struggle with in a museum or attraction setting?
  • How can staff support these families?
  • Ideas for low-cost ways of assisting families with autistic children
  • How to support neurodivergent colleagues

This is an engaging talk including group discussion, Q&A and handouts for future reference.
